Nicole Conte

Nicole loves to dance and also enjoys singing and acting. She performs locally with Moving Spirit Dancers, Raqs Salaam Dance Theater, Open Door Wellness Center, BarnArts Center for the Arts and previously performed with Flock Dance Troupe and the Eleonora Stein Academy. Nicole is an educator with a background in interdisciplinary, environmental and outdoor teaching. She has taught all ages at arts and science centers, schools, camps and resorts. Nicole has designed many camps for children that integrate arts with science, as well as programs in creative dance and drama, family movement and traditional singing games. She has also worked with teachers to integrate environmental and place-based learning into the curriculum and serves on the board of the Vermont Education and Environment Network. (Degrees: Dartmouth College - AB, psychology/learning & elementary education; Antioch University New England - MS, environmental studies/education)

I would enjoy working with and supporting dancers and choreographers with interests in site-specific work (especially outdoors) as well as interdisciplinary art for community-building and positive social change.
