We are thrilled to introduce the first Junction Dance Festival, a three-day dance fest to expose and share with the community the wonderful talent of local amateur and professional dance artists. 40+ dancers from Vermont, New Hampshire and beyond will be gathering in downtown White River Junction for a whole week-end and will introduce you to their specific dance style and mode of choreographic expression.
Join me on Monday evening to talk about performing as a nonbinary person - how my gender has shaped my work and vice versa. I'll be showing some excerpts from A Singular They, including the evolution of the oldest work in the show from 2014-present, during which time quite a lot of gender has happened to it. We'll talk about what it's like to choreograph through transition and to make choices in presentation as a nonbinary person in a distinctly binary world.
The Junction Dance Festival is sponsoring and is pleased to present the 2021 ChoreoLab Closing Performance, featuring work by ChoreoLab participants Martina Lundstrom http://martinalundstrom.com and Mary Chris DeBelina http://debelinadance.weebly.com .They will be joined by dancers Anna Goodling, Leila Faulstich, Ellis Broderick and Elizabeth Kurylo.

If works are not related to this theme they may not be appropriate for this festival.
