CATV is broadcasting The Junction Dance Festival 2021 Summer fundraiser this weekend and into next week. Featured are the following artists: Ellen Ahern Smith "Dance with Trees and Absent Forest", Molly and Brigid Armbrust in "A Hundred Rivers" and Marie Fourcaut performing Elizabeth Kurylo's piece " Farewell".

Elizabeth was born and raised in France. She danced professionally in France and Europe before moving to New York City where she studied Merce Cunningham technique. She danced with the Dartmouth Dance Ensemble in Hanover, NH, and with What’s Written Within in Edgartown, MA. She choreographed a series of work with the latter with productions at Built-on-Stilts and at the Hebrew Center. She also collaborated with artists from the Yard for her piece "Mothers/Daughters". She was one of the choreographers selected for the Vermont Dance Alliance Gala in 2019 and 2020. She choreographed "Farewell" a solo piece for performing artist, Marie Fourcaut, shown at The Barn in Corinth and the Briggs Opera House, as part of the Junction Dance Festival.
The Junction Dance Festival, Inc., is a non profit organization incorporated in the state of Vermont with the purpose of promoting the understanding and appreciation of Dance in all of its forms through performance . Our mission is to spotlight dancing by and for the Upper Valley community and beyond. We want to showcase dancers, choreographers, performing artists, dance schools and community dance groups, and to highlight the diversity of existing dance styles. We also offer residency opportunities for dance artists to develop and express their creative potential.
