This November 14th &15th, the Vermont Dance Alliance is hosting a Virtual Dance Symposium, in partnership with The Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth, and Next Stage Arts!
One of the evening events is a curated festival of dance films by Vermont dance artists and Dartmouth Dancers! We want to show your films!
Submissions due: October 9th
Examples of submissions include: High quality performance documentation, dance for camera projects, site specific works.
Please email info@vermontdance.org with:
1) Your Name
2) Link to your work(s).
-Must be link(s) not file(s)
-Maximum 3 submissions per artist. AOK to submit all three in one email.
-9 mins max per film. You are welcome to submit an excerpt of a longer work, but please be clear what times to watch from.
-There is no need to reformat your videos for this call. If selected, reformatting will be required- please see below.
3) Brief description of the pieces submitted.
Artists will be notified by October 20th.
All artists who are selected must create their submission as its own film, including opening title, and ending credits (credits may include thanking grant support or sponsorships, listing the artists who are featured, include your website, etc. If you are sharing an excerpt, in your credits include how to see the entire work.)
Final submission with credits due by October 30th.
Final Films must range between 3 minutes to 10 minutes max (including your opening and closing credits).
