Audition for outdoor performances: the Farm to Ballet Project and Bees & Friends

It's that time of year again! Ballet Vermont will hold auditions for our 2021 performance company on February 6th in Waterbury at Green Mountain Performing Arts, and virtually through video submission. The audition is for two shows: The Farm to Ballet Project and Bees & Friends. Both shows have roles for dancers of all experience levels, from novice to trained professional. Ballet Vermont is committed to providing an inviting, inclusive, and uplifting environment for all dancers. This is a great opportunity to share your artistry, build community, and directly support a sustainable Vermont!

The Shows:

-The Farm to Ballet Project debuted in 2015 and tells a story of life on a farm, complete with dancing vegetables, a scrappy barn cat, and weathervane come to life. Ticket sales from the show are shared with the hosting farm to support sustainable agriculture projects. This show will run in the summer months on farms across the state.

-Bees & Friends features a cast of pollinators, following busy butterflies, bees, and other creatures throughout the seasons. This show runs in the spring at a variety of outdoor, scenic locations and helps support local environmental and arts projects.

-Both shows are set to live music from local musicians and feature classical ballet choreography adapted for the grassy stage.

Dancers receive benefits and pay based on their level in the performance company. Request more information and register to audition on our website: http://bit.ly/AuditionInfo2021BVT
