We are thrilled to introduce the first Junction Dance Festival, a three-day dance fest to expose and share with the community the wonderful talent of local amateur and professional dance artists. 40+ dancers from Vermont, New Hampshire and beyond will be gathering in downtown White River Junction for a whole week-end and will introduce you to their specific dance style and mode of choreographic expression. There will be two full shows at the Briggs Opera House, performances at Open Door studio, improvisation with live music at the Veterans Park and screening of VDA Dance Film Festival, featuring the winning 2022 selection with fabulous dancers and filmmakers. You will be able to attend free workshops, ranging from Contemporary, Argentine Tango, Contemplative Dance, Ballet, Club Dance, Partnering, Aerials, Musical Theater and a special Big Move workshop presented in partnership with the Hopkins Center for the Arts.
The Junction Dance Festival is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote a greater understanding and appreciation of the art of Dance in all its forms through performances. We pledge to produce free events that are benefiting audience and artists alike in a shared community strengthening experience. Its existence is the result of the support from generous donors from the Upper Valley who have entrusted us to further our mission. Your donations, big or small, will help us envision the next 2023 Junction Dance Festival.
