Alex practices improvisational dance. They create placed based work that maps the emotional landscapes of being human and unleashes the emergent magic of embodied presence. Alex loves organizing community movement practices from ceremonies honoring our dead to dance parties just for the fun of it! 

ANGELINA is an east coast born, west coast fed italian american teaching and performing artist and activist, choreographer, poet, storyteller and documentarian (http://snowflake.productions).
angelina studies afro and latin diasporic traditions, with her primary focus in hip hop and house dances. she is a grateful guest and student of these cultures
 
angelina has lived and worked in many cities across the U.S. and abroad. she holds a degree of life; a bachelor of arts from the world arts and cultures dance program with a minor in visual and performing arts education from ucla; and an associate of arts with a certificate in african heritage dance from city college of san francisco. on her own growth journey, she continues to train under some of the best culture bearers of hip hop and house dance

Bronwyn Sims is a creator, actor, choreographer, and educator. She has appeared in film and on television including a role in the Emmy award winning first season of The Sopranos. Her NYC stage credits include; New York City Opera at Lincoln Center, National Black Theatre of Harlem, BAAD ( Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance) Dixon Place, The Kitchen, La Mama.
Regional stage credits include: Philadelphia Zoo, Opera Philadelphia, American Repertory Theatre, Pig Iron Theatre Company, Fringe Arts, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Barnes Foundation, Almanac Dance Circus Theatre, GF&Co, Great River Theater Festival, Main Street Arts, Speakeasy Stage Company, Berkshire Fringe Festival, Rochester Fringe Festival,
The Celebration Barn, Apron Theater Company, Raven Theatrical and a European tour with Sandglass Theatre.

Elizabeth was born and raised in France. She danced professionally in France and Europe before moving to New York City where she studied Merce Cunningham technique. She danced with the Dartmouth Dance Ensemble in Hanover, NH, and with What’s Written Within in Edgartown, MA. She choreographed a series of work with the latter with productions at Built-on-Stilts and at the Hebrew Center. She also collaborated with artists from the Yard for her piece "Mothers/Daughters".  She was one of the choreographers selected for the Vermont Dance Alliance Gala in 2019 and 2020. She choreographed "Farewell" a solo piece for performing artist, Marie Fourcaut, shown at The Barn in Corinth and the Briggs Opera House, as part of the Junction Dance Festival.

Erin McNulty is a New Hampshire-based contemporary dance artist and educator. Erin holds a B.S. from Boston University and a Postgraduate Diploma from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance in London, where she was the recipient of the Audrey Wethered Award. She is currently working towards her MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts through Goddard College.

Erin was an Instructional Coach & Lead Teaching Artist for Boston Ballet's Education & Community Initiatives team from 2016-2022; and is currently on dance faculty at Boston University, Wilmington Dance Academy (MA), and Lebanon Ballet School (NH). She has taught varied dance technique, creative practice, and fitness classes in studios, schools, and community organizations alike - including Artistree Vermont, Mighty Yoga NH, Forme Barre Fitness, Roxbury Latin School, Total Eclipse Dance Studio, Torit Montessori School, and Providence College Dance Company among others.

Eva is a teaching artist devoted to connecting people to themselves & others.

Argentine tango is a partner dance that can last a lifetime. It incorporates improvisation, self-discovery and trust. A social dance with lots of history no one agrees on, it's profoundly entertaining and engaging.

She also holds an MFA from Columbia University, a JD, and graduate certificate in conflict management as well as certificates in meditation & yoga, and TESOL. She is competent, if not fluent, in French, German, Spanish, and English.

Her collected poems The Lost Grip, and her children's book Lucy Dancer, are available through Rootstock Publishing, your library and your local bookshop.

Hanna Satterlee creates performance experiences and conceptual artworks for stage, site and film. Hanna holds degrees and certifications in dance therapy, psychology, performance, choreography, vinyassa/yin/restorative yoga, non-profit management and arts integration. Hanna shares these passions as an intergenerational educator, interdisciplinary performer + collaborator, experimental curator and event producer. 

Hanna holds a double BA in Dance/Psychology with a concentration in Dance Therapy from Goucher College and a Masters in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College. From 2010-15 Hanna served as the Director of Professional Programming & Director of Teen Jazz at the Contemporary Dance & Fitness Studio in Montpelier Vermont, and has been a guest lecturer at Johnson State College and Middlebury College, and adjunct faculty at Vermont Law School, the University of Vermont and currently at Northern Vermont University and Saint Michael's College.

Julie Frew grew up dancing in the Washington, DC area before attending Kenyon College as a Drama major and Dance minor.  She then spent several years immersed in the NYC modern dance scene before transitioning to the Upper Valley to attend medical school.  She currently studies and performs ballet and modern dance in the White River Junction area and serves on the board of The Junction Dance Festival (cancelled for 2020; stay tuned for new dates!).  Julie has enjoyed dipping her toes into the world of Gaga movement during the Covid-19 pause thanks to the online Gaga classes offered during the pandemic.  While she has appreciated many hours of Zoom dance and yoga over the past few months, she has been savoring recent opportunities to dance outdoors with others.

Lucia Gagliardone (she/her/hers) is a Vermont-born dance artist with movement origins in intergenerational, community-centered dance-making amongst the trees and in the waters. Her work explores themes of memory excavation, grief and healing, and iterations of the self. Her choreography is grounded in post-modern dance, with a fascination for quotidian life. Lucia is a 2023 MOtiVE Space Grant recipient.

MC DeBelina’s focus since 2008 has been primarily teaching children creative dance and raising her growing family.  MC studied Biology and Dance at Dartmouth College (B.A. 2005) and combined her two passions at Sarah Lawrence College receiving an MFA in Dance (2008).  Her thesis work focused on the links between science and art.

Mary Chris founded the Hopkins Center’s Children’s Creative Dance Program at Dartmouth in 2005 and taught every class until 2012 when her family relocated to Philadelphia.  As a faculty member at Dartmouth she was fortunate to perform with, and choreograph for, the Dartmouth Dance Ensemble and she was a frequent guest teacher in the advanced modern dance classes.

Neva Cockrell is a dancer, director, and movement instructor. She tours internationally with Pilobolus (China, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Dubai, Mexico, Israel, and US) and directs new dance-theater works in the US, Dubai, and Europe with her company Loom Ensemble. When she isn't directing or performing, she is teaching her own movement technique, Catalyst Training, which she developed in 2016. She is based at the Art Monastery in Springfield, VT. Her life path is deeply ground in communal living, body-based activities, art-making, being outside, and contemplative practice.

Nicole Dagesse is a Vermont native whose rural upbringing in the forests and fields is a direct inspiration for her movement style and choreographic desires.  Combining her training in Modern Dance, Contact Improvisation, and Aerial Dance, Nicole approaches each new site with inquisitive play and rigorous movement research.  Nicole earned her BFA in Dance and BS in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she was immersed in the creativity of the local dance scene.  Nicole cites Wire Monkey Dance as a major influence in her work.  It was while playing on the scaffolding that her 3-dimensional movement patterns began to develop, and her love of partnering work took flight.  After several years dancing in the Boston area, Nicole felt it was time to continue her dance education as an artist and teacher, and moved to Boulder, Co.

Rachel Bernsen is a choreographer, dancer and educator now living in Vermont. Current projects include the upcoming Ceremony of Strangers (working title), a traveling curatorial improvisation project where local artists from a range of disciplines come together for a series of performances. A recent collaboration with the writer Rachel Kauder Nalebuff, I Know You So Well, is a multi-disciplinary work that weaves together text, choreography and song to relay the real lives and emotions of a choir of healthcare workers and caregivers. Rachel recently performed with Yvonne Rainer and Emily Coates in a reconstruction of Rainer's Parts of Some Sextets (a seminal work from 1965) at Performa 19.

Tina Forés-Hitt was brought up between the USA and Europe. She began her dance training at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza en Valencia, Spain and after graduating she became a member of the Diverse Space Dance Theatre in Austin, Texas. She started her BA in contemporary dance at ArtEZ Academy of the Arts in Holland and completed her studies at SEAD in Austria. The Spanish-American dancer then became a member of the BODHI PROJECT 2017-18, which toured worldwide performing pieces by a variety of choreographers.

Now living in the southern part of Vermont, Tina is eager and excited to get involved in the dance community as a performer, teacher and creator.

Willow started on her dance path at a very young age on the West Coast. After graduating high school from the San Francisco School of the Arts, she went on to complete a BFA degree in Modern Dance Performance from SUNY Purchase and the London Contemporary School of Dance. After dancing briefly in a Belly Dance Company based in NYC, she moved to VT in 2000 and began teaching, choreographing and performing. She taught at Moving Light Dance for 10 years and was an integral part of the creation of The Green Mountain Nutcracker. She now teaches at Contemporary Dance and Fitness Studio in Montpelier. She also teaches Pilates classes and privates at Essential PT and Pilates and continues to work with an array of VT based Dance artists such as Hannah Dennison, Polly Motley and Paul Besaw. Her passion for Improvisation is strong and all began in a class taught by Neil Greenberg called Advanced Improvisation at SUNY Purchase in 1997. Thanks Neil!

Zoey November earned her B.A. in Dance from the University of Vermont, where she created and performed in a number of collaborative student and faculty works. Her work encourages purposeful reflection, sculpting experiences that invite the audience to engage with social and political issues in an accessible and open-minded environment. Currently, she is motivated by the intensity of emotion that people are experiencing both directly and indirectly as a result of global climate change and social inequality.
