Prepare yourself for a wild night!
Join Vermont Dance Alliance for our 2nd annual live auction and variety show fundraising event! Auctioneer extraoridaire, Phinn Sonin will call the auction- a plethora of art, gift certificates, and experiences will be auctioned off -generously donated by local artists and businesses.
The evening will be peppered with a musical performance by live-looping artist Emma Back, as well as dance performances by VDA dance artists. Bring your friends!

Participating artists

Danielle Tekut received a BA in dance from Smith College and is currently pursuing her MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work. Her work explores the narratives we hold/embody through solo, duet, and improvisation forms. She is a member of and creative collaborator within ERGO movement.

Choreographer and dancer Hanna Satterlee grew up in East Montpelier, Vermont and has spent many years traveling through dance, both nationally and internationally. Hanna holds a Masters in Fine Arts/Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College (VT/WA) and has produced her own choreographic and dance installation work, and has performed with professional companies in Vienna Austria, Stolzenhagen Germany, Baltimore, Manhattan, Brooklyn, San Francisco and throughout the state of Vermont. Now based in Burlington Vermont, Hanna is the current director of the Vermont Dance Alliance, with a strong belief that the culture of dance will continue to flourish and expand throughout the edges of our beautiful state. In addition, Hanna teaches and performs on freelance basis. Jessie Owens is the founder of Ergo Movement, a collaborative performance project based in Burlington, Vermont. She holds a BA in Dance from Smith College, where she attended as an Ada Comstock, or non-traditional scholar. She is the current Vice President of the Vermont Dance Alliance, where she is working to support dance in all of its forms.

Joy Madden is a choreographer, performer and bodyworker. She has performed throughout the US and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 2001 she co-founded The Moving Laboratory, an innovative performing arts incubator in Boston, MA. She served as the managing director of Boston Dance Alliance from 2000-2003. Since moving to Vermont in 2007, her work has been presented by The Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, Burlington Dances, Arts Riot and The Burlington Fringe Festival among others. In recent years, Joy has focused on site specific performance, creating pieces for art galleries, parking lots, farms and forests in Vermont and New York. In 2014 and 2015, she served as Community Mentor for Stephan Koplowitz’s online course, Creating Site Specific Dance and Performance Works, by California Institute of the Arts.

Kim has been dancing on and off since the age of 2. She has performed throughout VT with the Spielpalast Cabaret, Rue Mevlana and Ergo Movement.

Marissa began dancing at a young age, and has been an active lover of movement and artistry in many forms throughout her life. After a several year hiatus, she is entering back into the dance world eager to dance, create, connect and perform. Currently on the board of The Vermont Dance Alliance, she is passionate about collaboration and helping to connect community and resources. She received a BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of New Hampshire and a minor in Dance. She has since pursued Natural Health and Wellness practices and education. Her love of movement has fused with a strong energetic awareness and intuition, as well as deep appreciation for sciences. This has led her to explore a career as a Movement Educator and Energy Worker. She is the owner of "Align," in Burlington Vermont. She is beyond grateful to be dancing and connecting with the local dance community, returning "home" to dance. In her free time, she explores the natural world through outdoor adventures, and has a special affinity for climbing/dancing on rocks.
