Calling all Upper Valley Dancers and Dance/Movement Enthusiasts!

The Vermont Dance Alliance is a springboard for Vermont dancers and dance services, and a public platform for dance in Vermont. The alliance supports dance artists of all genres, educates the public, and brings high quality events to the local community.

Participating artists

Choreographer and dancer Hanna Satterlee grew up in East Montpelier, Vermont and has spent many years traveling through dance, both nationally and internationally. Hanna holds a Masters in Fine Arts/Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College (VT/WA) and has produced her own choreographic and dance installation work, and has performed with professional companies in Vienna Austria, Stolzenhagen Germany, Baltimore, Manhattan, Brooklyn, San Francisco and throughout the state of Vermont. Now based in Burlington Vermont, Hanna is the current director of the Vermont Dance Alliance, with a strong belief that the culture of dance will continue to flourish and expand throughout the edges of our beautiful state. In addition, Hanna teaches and performs on freelance basis. Join her for GARDEN DANCES this July and August at the Horsford Nursery in Charlotte VT! More info under the events tab on this website.

OPEN DOOR MOVEMENT STUDIES Exploration of the many faces of movement: Somatic and Creative movement classes and workshops. Kate Gamble, BFA, MSPT Open Door Founder, Kate Gamble, is a physical therapist, dancer, choreographer, and teacher who is engaged in the exploration of the many faces of movement. She has a BFA from New York University/Tisch School of the Arts and an MS in Physical Therapy from the Mayo School of Health Related Sciences. Her combined training as a modern dancer and physical therapist allows her to facilitate movement experiences that are safe and transformative. Kelly Armbrust - DIRECTOR OF DANCE PROGRAMMING Kelly holds a BA in Dance and an MA in Dance/Movement Therapy. She danced with Anonymity in Charleston, SC and Still Moving Ensemble in Boulder, CO and has taught modern dance in a variety of settings including as an artist-in-residence in public schools. She believes that dance can connect us more deeply to ourselves and our world, and strives to awaken a growing curiosity and authenticity in her students, leading to greater depth and dimensionality in the dance.
