Looking for male and female dancers of all backgrounds to work on a performance that will tour around New England and showcase at an International Conference in Athens, Greece. Must have current passport or ability to obtain passport by June 1, 2018. All dancers will receive flight and housing for Athen's performance. Dancers have the opportunity to attend the UNESCO World Congress on Dance Research conference and meet internationally acclaimed dancers, choreographers and performers from around the globe. Stipends and pay will be available depending on funding raised.

Auditions will be held in Bethel, VT on January 12, 2018 and in Burlington, VT on January 15, 2018.
Morning Auditions: 10:00am
Afternoon Auditions: 3:00pm

***Please prepare a 2-5 minute movement audition piece, genre/style of your choosing.
***Please bring an updated dance resume, no photos required
***We will be working with charcoal, oils and paints, if you have a known allergy, please email before auditions.
***Movement will include modern, ballet, folk, pop/lock, contemporary and improvisation, contact improve.
***Must be available March 17-18, 2018 and July 4-8, 2018, additional dates will vary based on touring.

Ciara Perez is an award-winning, Vermont based movement artist with a background in a variety of techniques. A Texas native who was gifted the experience to travel and learn from different cultures, Ciara uses influences from global and tribal communities when working on stage and site-specific performances and productions. She has worked within her communities as an instructor, choreographer, performer and explorer to help spread her love of dance and art. Her movement practices and performances incorporate poetry, spoken word, painting and movement and are focused on strength, hope and dedication towards a better future and overcoming the hardships of today. She performs and instructs for conferences, schools and various events around the country. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance & Production as well as in Anthropology, and is working towards a Master of Fine Arts degree. Ciara continues to expand her knowledge and deepen her praxis to spread movement, art, love and hope to audiences all around the world.
