Argentine Tango Classes: Int & Adv Beg; Beg

Offered on specific days in April and May, these classes teach new patterns for intermediates and advanced beginners, and provide the basics for brand-new beginners. Elizabeth leads welcoming, gender-neutral classes. No partner required. Wear clean, smooth-soled shoes or socks.

Elizabeth M. Seyler, PhD, is a dancer, writer and instructor. Since 2002, she has specialized in gender-fluid Argentine tango and tango-inspired dance. Her latest love is loosely structured movement improvisation for play and performance. She seeks to practice with others who bring extensive social dance experience to the floor. An assistant editor and proofreader at Seven Days, she holds a PhD in dance from Temple University, an MEd from the University of Vermont, and a BA from Cornell University.
