Erica uses guided improvisational dance and movement to help individuals dive a bit deeper into who they are, what they think, and how they feel. Erica believes this can be an incredibly therapeutic experience individually and collectively. To Erica, we can use movement to help question, deconstruct, feel and make meaning of our experiences on various levels in life to help live better lives, and be able to give back to our communities in meaningful ways. Class will start with Erica describing what the class is about and offer an opportunity for everyone to introduce themselves. This will be followed by about 45min of free form dance that Erica will be lightly guiding you through. There will be 5-10 min at the end to journal/reflect, and about 10 min offered to share and discuss experiences.
