Vermont-based Loom Ensemble has gathered together local dancers and professional theatermakers to devise an outdoor dance-theater performance, to share with local community here in the Upper River Valley, sponsored by Open Door Integrative Wellness of White River Junction.

Thumbelina - A Vermont-grown story ballet

Come revel in a magical family-friendly production of Thumbelina set outdoors in early summer in Vermont! These performances are the premiere of a brand-new story ballet choreographed by Ashley Hensel-Browning set to Vermont composer Evan Premo's Thumbelina, an original musical setting of Hans Christian Andersen’s tale of a tiny girl who goes on a big adventure, performed by local dancers from throughout Windsor county.

Adventures with Super Bee: Project Laugh Leaves & Tickle Grass

Adventures with Super Bee presents: Project Laugh Leaves & Tickle Grass, an interactive dance/ theater show for young children and their families, held outdoors picnic-style. Laughter has mysteriously gone missing! Join Super Bee and her friends on a whimsical journey to solve the mystery and restore laughter to the world. Leading up to and following the show, join the Local Laugh Challenge Facebook group Post jokes or games that give you the giggles. Your jokes may be selected for the show.

Don't miss the Junction Dance Festival fundraiser on June 26, featuring original works by Upper Valley dancers/choreographers, including a documentary film about the profound transformation that operated within each artist as they seek to adapt to the pandemic. The documentary was made possible in part by a grant from the Vermont Arts Council and the Vermont Community Foundation. Featured artists are Brigid Armbrust, Molly Armbrust, Ellen Ahern Smith, Marie Fourcaut, Carla Kimball and Elizabeth Kurylo.

TRACES 2021

Vermont Dance Alliance (VDA) will present TRACES 2021 in three locations simultaneously:  Montpelier, White River Junction & Burlington. Traces, a day of outdoor dance happenings, will celebrate the change into summer, dancing in public spaces, and connection of community. Traces began in 2016 as a day-long festival of outdoor dance happenings throughout downtown Burlington VT.  As we move into our fifth annual Traces event, VDA has chosen the theme of water conservation. We believe that together we can make a difference in protecting the water in our communities.

Created by local dance artists Lydia Roe and Lucia Gagliardone, At Star Mountain is a pandemic-era dance project that will soothe your soul. It is restful. It is rooted. It is tender. You'll see some dancing and some trees and maybe, some reflection of the grief, gratitude, and isolation so many of us have faced this year.

Get ready for Vermont Tiny Toes Ballet’s first ever Talent Show!  Saturday February 20 at 6:30p.m.

Featuring choreography by: Avah Dwyer, Charleigh Moriarty, Lucy Moriarty, Mayla Paquette, Phyler Holt, and Zari Holt.

Proceeds will go towards improvements for the studio, in particular the instillation of dance mirrors to our space.
